The misadventures of a writer, food snob, fashion junkie and accidental housewife.
A little about me — I recently moved back to Detroit after almost three years as an expat in Tokyo, Japan, with my husband, Craig. I’ve also lived in Chicago and New York City. I work from home as a writer, blogger, director of internet strategy and project manager. I’ve written for The Wall Street Journal, The Style Line, Hollywood.com, TWC Central, Deep Japan, Currantly.com, HealthyTokyo, Venus Zine and Daily Candy. This blog began as my way of documenting expatriate life in Tokyo and has grown to be a complete lifestyle site featuring my favorite products, fashion, food, workouts and more.
The name of this blog is taken from my favorite quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson: “The voyage of the best ship is a zigzag line of a hundred tacks.” I have had many stops on my journey so far and believe a life fully lived should always be an adventure.
