For the second day of our staycation, we decided to stay closer to home after our adventure in Yokohama on Monday. We started the day with our favorite lunch and gave into our obsession with The West Wing. It was nice to just spend some time together and cross a few things off our to-do lists. The streets seemed much more quiet, with plenty of people out of town for the holidays. It always amazes visitors how quiet Tokyo can be, despite its size and population, and on a holiday, it can be a little spooky.
After getting some work and cleaning done as well as a workout, we decided to look for a dinner spot. In the spirit of trying new things, we chose to cross an eatery off our list we’ve been meaning to check out: Tofuro in Roppongi. We tried some new dishes and did some walking down streets we hadn’t ventured before — a little extra effort can make anywhere familiar seem new again.
